Despite the Senators playing back-to-back games, the Rangers struggled tremendously, finally registering their tenth shot late in the second period. As the game progressed, chants of "Fire Drury" filled the arena. Quick was replaced by Spencer Martin after allowing additional goals from Jake Sanderson and Thomas Chabot early in the second, marking the third time in four games that the Rangers conceded at least five goals.
